image

While my aunt was visiting us from Sweden I’m always telling her how yummy are the kanell-bullars (cinna-buns) she made and she is always very nice that she knows we love her handmade kanell-bullars a lot so she is making always a lot of them even to store them at the fridge for later.

Isn’t she just lovely and amazing!

She is around 70 years but she is still very active and social women I love you auntie I hope you will always be like that.

Yes now time to share her secret recipe.

What you need:

For the Dough:

3 eggs

500 ml milk

200 ml heavy cream

1 kilo flour

1 tablespoon instant yeast

6 to 9 tablespoon brown or white sugar

250 gr unsalted butter melted

pinch of salt

For the filling:

4 tablespoons brown sugar

8 tablespoons cinnamon

200 gr unsalted butter at room temperature

How to do:

Add flour all at once and knead the dough until it comes together cover it and leave it for 30 minutes.

image

Divide the dough to 4 rounds.

On well floured surface open one of the rounds about 1 inch thick circle.

Take for each circle 50 gr of butter and spread it all around the circle.

Dust all around with 1 tbs sugar and 2 tbs cinnamon for each round.

Roll the circle.

Then cut it 2 inches thick.

Put them on baking sheet cover them  leave them another 30 minutes.

When they are doubled whisk 1-2 eggs and brush them if you like you can put some snow white non-melting topping sugar.

At 200 degrees preheated oven bake them until they are golden brown.

Now make coffee or tea and call everyone to the kanell-bullar fest!

I can’t wait anymore.
