Surprise… meet my boyfriend TED!

Wellll… ok I wish I had a smart boyfriend called TED. So let me introduce you to TED so you know what I am raving about.

TED is always available
He is always there! Whenever I need TED I can reach him on my phone. TED has a lovely app, so easy to use; at my beck and call.

TED is so smart
TED is so smart and witty, being with TED makes me smart. TED makes me want to learn more and be smarter in a gentle, encouraging way. Ahhh and btw he is not in a competition with me – we both like that :)) we are on the same team!

TED is not boring
I can talk to TED about anything, any topic – can’t be bored. A good partner is one that you can talk about everything and can hold a conversation. TED has a bunch of topics from astrophysics to innovation to online dating to religion to politics to food to travel to big data … shall I keep going???

TED makes me laugh
TED is not just serious and nerdy, he makes me laugh! Just a quick search on comedy, stand up.. and sometimes some of the talkers are funny period – even though they are not comedians.

Did I mention that my parents actually approve of TED? He has even impressed them, now that’s a feat! Guess I could keep going on and on about him… but you be the judge, have a look.
Here is TEDs address:

Now would not it be great if TED was real – ha! Hope you enjoy TED as much as I do. Who’s your TED?

Well said

Few great quotes from great people to share with all of our great readers Enjoy them by applying or keeping them close to your life :)))

Better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn’t smile back.

Be happy for no reason, like a child if you are happy for a reason, you are in trouble, because that reason can be taken from you.

If I let you in please don’t brake anything.

Politeness became so rare that some people mistake it for flirtation.

It’s sad when people bully others and than play victim, it’s a good thing I can see past their bullshit.

Don’t judge my choices without understanding my reasons.

Listen to your body it’s smarter than you.

What’s your new vacation destination?

If you have been following our blog you know we are crazy about a few things… and one is definitely traveling. As we are getting ready for an upcoming trip (wooooo!!!) we wondered about what our readers are up to.

So tell us…. where are you headed next? and why? we would love to hear your stories.

An old and wise saying goes something like this: a man who has traveled knows more than a man who has only read books.

And we say — a man who has travelled definitely has more fun than one who has not traveled !!!

Is the day running you?

Finally decided to write on this topic as it keeps emerging as a pattern I my life. When I look around I see others struggle too so I know I am not alone.

You either run the day – or it runs you!
Yes, this is true. Have you noticed what drives your day? Is it you or is it something else? Are you really in control of your day or are you going from meeting to meeting, event to event and so on…? If you are like me you have a never ending checklist.

Not until long ago the days ran me and more like ran over me. Packed scheduled busy and crazy… until I had this awakening about running around by something other than my own will. That is when I realized I was not running my day it was running me. Ultimately I would be exhausted and not reaping the benefits either – half the time thinking ‘wait… so what did I get out of all of that today?’ went unanswered.

What to do?? Don’t panic, here are few tips:

1. Back off! yes, cut back on accepting events, meetings that wayyyy overcommit yourself. You know who you are!

2. Create a buffer. This means between meetings, events or whatever your commitment is allow time for YOU, so you can relax and reflect before the next thing starts.

3. Be picky. You might already think you are picky but do you have a hard time saying no? Do you basically accept every meeting that appears on your calendar? Are you ready to jump on any social invite? While all these things lead to a ‘busy’ ‘i am important’ feeling type of a day – end result is not so. One might say garbage in garbage out – with little to no value.

This takes practice. It’s easier to pack your day like sardines than to think and set your intentions deliberately for your day. I am still trying … but already paying off as I am more focused on what’s really important and not running like crazy all day long.

Sooo… Is the day running you or are you running the day??
