Meet our Fantastic Friend!

It’s very exiting to introduce you this guy. He is fun, he is happy, he is in love with what he is doing,  he is also smart so on goes….We are very happy to open his way of life and experience to our dear readers. Hope you will at least learn to find something you love and passionate about and go for it!!!

Explore him right here and don’t forget to have fun when you do.

Don’t take anything to serious in this life be happy be nice to yourself and others.

I am hospitality, PR & social media consultant under my company @TheContourage, a blogger (talalalrashed.tumblr.com) and real-estate investor living between Dubai & Kuwait.

I was born in Kuwait, 13 May 1983

I studied accounting in Kuwait University and later for career shift I studied hospitality management in Glion school in Montreux, Switzerland.

I was working for one year in a fine dining restaurant in DIFC, Dubai and from there I turned my instagram account public and people started to get to know me and enjoy my content which were mainly restaurants and dishes from various restaurants around Dubai and Istanbul.

The reason was PASSION & LOVE for good places to eat and good food, as well as beautiful spaces such as hotels.

The most difficult part of my job is working with hotels & restaurants with PR & marketing managers who are happy receiving salaries every month and do not care much about the business. Also working with people that think I am doing this for my own benefit rather than theirs. Bad weather conditions make my job difficult, pictures do not turn out as I wish. I also find it annoying to have to sit and write proposals and reports to my clients, I wish I can find someone that is good in writing them, and I just review them. Travelling a lot, having to ruin my diet and skipping reading because of socialising make me want to quit sometimes 🙂

I would choose same job in another life but much earlier in my life.

My massage to your reader, be courageous enough to quit what you do not yourself in, but find the next step first.

Meet our new fave DOMAKAYA

img_5584We are very excited to introduce you this talent hope you will have fun this Saturday by carrying one of this creative hand made products and maybe you already in fun so why not send us fun photos of you we will be very happy!!!

So let’s start our questions to beloved Karima and let her star her art.

Could you let us know you little bit?

My name is Karima. I was born in London and have lived there my whole life.

Domakaya was made up of the first two letters of all the girls in my family. My mother is Doris, older sister Maria, me and youngest sister Yasmina.

What did you study?

I finished my a levels and decided to take a gap year. I studied drama, sculpture and art as a levels.

Who, when and how you decided to be right now where you are today?

Domakaya was started up by me, my sister and mum in London in 2002. My mum had taught me how to knit and crochet from a young age and so when i decided to take a gap year but didn’t plan any big trips abroad I started making hats and bags for some friends which they loved. Slowly word got round and friends of friends wanted them too! So me, my sister and mum organised a house sale. The rest as they say is history 🙂

What are the most difficult and most exciting sides?

When you start up your own brand it’s a big responsibility and a 24hour job because its all on you. Nobody is going to tell you what to do and when to do it. You have to make all decisions from labels to trade show organisation. It can be tough at times but always worth it!

There are many exciting times to this job. This company is so personal to me so the smallest thing can be extremely satisfying and exciting. From seeing a random person on the street wearing a Domakaya hat to seeing our products in Vogue photoshoots with Mario Testino. Each thing brings a lot of excitement!

If you have a chance to choose will you choose the same job same life and same you?

I wouldn’t change a thing! it has all been a huge learning experience especially since i started this company when i was 19 years old. I have learnt a lot and I’m still learning today and its a great experience.
Thank you for excepting being here with our readers🙏

Spanish food

We were in Spain few weeks ago and Madrid was Reina(queen) of Spanish food for sure. But try to be peeky  because there are many tourist traps. Our recommendation is go local you will not regret any bite of it.

Here comes our first Reina we just found it around one of the corners of Madrid.

This is called spanish generosity they almost-always serve you something free but most delicat thing they have.

And this is our second Reina most delicious food with tones of smiling chef Alvaro!!!

Vinci 66 rooftop bar the best view and cocktails and drinks also the service by Sergio is fantastic experience you must try it!!!!!! Especially the coconut cocktail (look at our Instagram for more details  please)

Have some snacks in museu thuyssen cafe they have just just delicious food…

This is gourme side of the Spanish dishes amazingcious!

While you get hot in siesta time….having some fries and salad is not bad idea😋

And this is how you start your breakfast in Spain with Cava of course….cause they know you don’t have to wait for somethings in life to celebrate so celebrate while you are in the moment and while still you are breathing….. Whishing you a week and whole life better than the champagne dears!!!!

Starting the day with a surprise…

Continuing private….

Cooking from the garden rhubarbs…

Baking kadayif….

Then baklava..

The rhubarb pie is already is ready…

And another baklawa…

It was long day full of nice stuff how about to en it with good sip of coffee….and rest!

Orebro best memories

Orebro-Sweden it’s sweet place to be there you feel you are in small cozy city. It feels you are in small village but with the feeling of small city without any stress or rush it relaxed place. Easily you can walk all around the monuments and museums, parks and the famous castle.

Enjoy few old memories from orebro and don’t forget this old but just very popular saying. See something once better to hear about it thousand times.

So live now and be present know tomorrow sometimes will newer could come.

Lots of love and peace and sorry for long time not sharing!
